Selection of tents.
1. Fabric
Compared with different fabrics, nylon silk is thin and light, suitable for mountaineering and hiking campers. Oxford cloth is thick, but heavier, and is suitable for making tents for drive-through camping or small groups. From the perspective of waterproof coating, although PVC waterproof is good, it will become hard and brittle in winter, and it is easy to creases or break.
2. Lining
The lining is usually cotton-type nylon silk with good air permeability, and the performance of nylon silk is better than that of cotton. When camping outside, tents are easy to absorb moisture, cotton cloth is not easy to cool and mildew, and nylon silk is easy to dry and not easy to mold.
3. Bottom material
The main function of the tent bottom is waterproof, moisture-proof and dust-proof. The choice of bottom material also determines the grade of the tent. Low-grade tents are usually made of PE as the base material, which is the nemesis of PVC base material in winter, while PU coated Oxford cloth is used as the base material, which exceeds PE in terms of firmness, cold resistance and waterproofness.
4, strut
The poles of the tent are the skeleton of the tent. The quality of the skeleton material not only affects the life of the tent, but also affects the stability of the tent. The early tent poles were often made of reinforced materials, which not only increased the weight of the tent, but also had poor resilience. The improved tent frame is made of fiberglass struts, which reduces the weight, improves the resilience, and lowers the cost. Therefore, the current tent manufacturers mostly use such materials as the struts.
